Cricklade Garden Club

Cricklade Garden Club meets in the Town Hall Annexe at 8.00pm on the second Tursday of each month. You are welcome to attend any of the meetings. Sizergh’s Seasons
Matthew Murgatroyd will talk to us about a year in the garden of the famous National Trust castle of Sizergh, Cumbria, where he worked before joining Highgrove.

Matthew Adams is a Director of The Good Gardeners Association and he will talk about issues that surround and connect the history of soil conditions, biology, health and the environment.

The History & Cultivation of Stone Fruits in the UK
Tony Webster from Malmesbury, and the International Society for Horticultural Science, will focus his expert knowledge on apples and plums for his talk.

Displays by Natural England, Court Leet & Cricklade Bloomers. Exhibition by Great Western Embroiderers on North Meadow.  Hot refreshments/Plant Sales/toilets at The Thames Hall ‘Fritillary Tea Room’ in aid of Cricklade Bloomers.  Contact Anita Barratt to book or help out.

Plants Grown for Fragrance Through the Year
Felicity Down, Co-Owner of Cleeve Nursery & Garden Centre near Bristol, recently gained a Garden Design Diploma.  She is often a panel member of gardening question times on TV and appears on local radio.

12th July Gertrude Jekyll: Her Plants & Designs David Usher was Head Gardener at Hestercombe in Somerset for 18 years where he was responsible for the restoration, development and care of the Jekyll Garden.

Your chance to share your gardening experiences and take away ideas to try out yourself.  Bring your successes to share and your problems for solving - real or photos - for a chat in small groups with tea and coffee.
