Best year so far in the RHS Britain in Bloom Competition
2008 was our best year to date and represents the culmination of 5 years of development towards our goal of winning a gold award in the RHS Britain in Bloom National Finalists Competition.
Entry to the National finals is by invitation of your Britain in Bloom region in our case the South West Region. Each region can enter up to 6 locations into the national finals. It is obviously necessary to impress at regional level to be selected as one of the 6 and we are up against some strong entries from the south west. The South West Region entries for 2008 were:

Cricklade were the only South West location to achieve a gold award in 2008 one of only 13 golds to be awarded in the national competition. In addition Cricklade won the Small Town category and two of the 14 discretionary awards.
